Kristin Fisher was added to the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in the month of July 2021. In her new position, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of NASA astronauts as well as a space enthusiast, grew up immersed in the industry. She served for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump Administrations. In that period, Kristin was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president and the 2020 presidential election and efforts by two administrations to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Kristin traveled extensively, both with the president and vice president. She was even on a secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump.
